I translate ideas into stories to create wonder, understanding and belief in the new.

Encompassing brand narratives, ambition statements, market offers and multi-channel communication strategies, I’ve written for some of the world’s biggest brands. My experience spans CEOs, former Presidents and Princes. Customers, shareholders, politicos, journos, SMEs and B2Bs. Short, long. Strategic, commercial. My work quickly adapts across boardrooms, billboards, TV, digital, print or live events. It demystifies the complex. Sets the course for new beginnings and makes ideas real. 

Currently Creative Director - Writing at Deloitte, I work with our brilliant teams to differentiate our services in the market. I also established and lead our internal creative team, the Storytelling Studio. We set and maintain high creative standards across all written communication and drive creative innovation across content delivery and experience. 

 

Before this, I demystified the complexities of energy as Global Brand Leader at National Grid. Working with teams across the UK and US, I elevated the brand's personality and tone of voice to reflect a modern, customer focussed business. I also developed their first Global Shared Value Strategy, aligning purpose, profit and planet. Driving efforts to create sustainable energy solutions, support economic prosperity and get more girls into STEM, it won Business in the Community's Responsible Business of the Year 2014. This repositioned the brand with customers, shareholders, regulators and investors. My career began in London at The British Library. Initially freelance, I soon became permanent as I worked closely with the CEO and her Executive Team to develop programmes that repositioned the organisation as a force for good

Before all of this, I cut my teeth slinging tacos at Guero's Taco Bar in Austin, Texas.  Here I learned first hand the importance of building rapport, celebrating culture and critically, how to play the spoons on a washboard.
